Help For Your Family
Seventy percent of the adults who come to the Elizabeth Stone House for services need help not just for themselves, but for their families as well. Children have always been welcomed at Stone House. Our programming and services for kids were created to serve the unique educational and emotional needs of the particular children we serve – those who have experienced homelessness and trauma due to domestic violence, their mother’s mental health issues, or her history of substance abuse. From the literacy curricula we have designed to supplement a student’s school work to our family empowerment programming, the Stone House provides opportunities for our families to grow strong and for these children to flourish in a nurturing home.
