Wilderness Heals - July 19-21, 2013
Registration for 2013 opens Monday, March 4, 2013. If you would like to receive more information, please contact Erika Whyte at ewhyte@elizabethstone.org .
Wilderness Heals is an all-female, three-day pledge hike through New Hampshire's White Mountains that raises funds for the Elizabeth Stone House. The hike brings together women from all over New England to raise awareness about homelessness, domestic violence and trauma. As the Stone House's largest fundraiser, Wilderness Heals raises the much-needed flexible funding that helps the Stone House meet the needs of the families it serves. Each hiker is responsible for raising a minimum of $1,500, which goes directly to supporting the work of the Elizabeth Stone House. Over $180,000 was raised through the Wilderness Heals 2012 hike!
The Elizabeth Stone House believes that by helping one another, individuals can overcome obstacles that may seem insurmountable to each one individually. Peer support is one of the most effective ways to make and maintain changes in individuals, families, and communities and both Wilderness Heals and the Elizabeth Stone House are founded on this principle.
Wilderness Heals is sponsored in part by Natixis Global Asset Management. Thank you, Natixis!
