Elizabeth Stone’s Network of GentleMen
The Network of GentleMen includes men who are willing to support the programs and services of the Elizabeth Stone House with their time, talents, or resources. Organized through an email listserv, network members receive notices of upcoming opportunities at Stone House and are asked to respond if they are available to help. We’re trying to avoid meetings, and hope that by relying on email, we can solicit the help that we need as we need it. The network sponsors an annual potluck dinner for the women and children who live at Stone House – providing all the food and giving the women a night off from kitchen chores. Network members also receive invitations to attend or help out at other events at Stone House; and from time to time, members are contacted to see if they are available to help with specific tasks such as mentoring, carpentry, or fundraising.
