Children’s Group Facilitators
The Elizabeth Stone House needs Children’s Group Facilitators to work 5 to 10 hours per week for afternoon and evening hours Monday through Thursday. Our Children’s Group Facilitators are responsible for planning and executing activities for small groups of children of various ages. Pay is $10.50 per hour. Internships
The Elizabeth Stone House accepts Internships from students who are interested in working with women and children, facilitating support groups and administrative work.
Our hands on approach will enhance the formal education they receive from their various schools. We provide clinical supervision for those students that require it. We do not offer a stipend but the experience they gain by interning here at the Stone House is priceless.
Although we encourage interested students to inquire about potential internships, at this point we are unable to offer any type of salary or stipend. Depending on your school’s requirements, an internship at The Elizabeth Stone House may be used for course credit.

The greatest gift you can give another human being is the gift of your service. Those who volunteer at the Stone House are that gift to us. Our volunteers work hand and hand with our staff to ensure that our residents are getting the attention, resources, and support they need to accomplish their goals. Volunteers walk away with the experience of a lifetime, and the knowledge they have made a difference in someone else’s life.
Volunteers have the opportunity to see women and children who are survivors of violence and trauma make safe and positive decisions for themselves. Women recovering from Substance abuse issues stay clean a day at a time and women who have been in emotional distress for more than half their lives become stable and go back to school, work, and obtain permanent housing.
